The City - Becoming and Decaying

This year OSTKREUZ was celebrating its 20th anniversary and presented a large group exhibition at C/O Berlin with the theme "The City - Becoming and Decaying".

On the quest to find the one image of the city, the OSTKREUZ photographers set out to many different parts of the world - to the slums of Manila, the facades of Las Vegas, the ruins of Gaza, to the steppes of Inner Mongolia, Downtown Detroit, the ideal of Auroville, the yearning for Atlantis, the Mona Lisas of the suburbs - and to several others.

Impressions of the exhibition and interviews with the photographers, who are talking about their works, can be seen on our blog.

A limited edition of signed prints of the exhibition is available in our OSTKREUZ-Fine Art-Gallery.

The book was published by Hatje Cantz Publishing:
